Board of Directors Application
PURPOSE: The purpose of this form is to record information about a volunteer applying for a position on the AHSHA Board of Directors.
ROUTING: This application will be routed to the AHSHA President and Administrative Support.
Before beginning the applications process, please make sure you have a 2024-25 USA Hockey Member registration number (note: the fourth digit of the 2024-25 USA Hockey registration number must be a “5” to be valid.
Directors and Board Members:
All existing Directors and Board Members must complete a Board of Directors application annually whether your term is expiring or not.
All new and existing Board Members must complete a Background Screening and be Safesport Certified. All requirements MUST BE followed: Background Checks and Safesport Certifications must be kept up to date to participate on the Board.
Board Members ~ if your term is expiring in 2024 and you are interested in moving from a Non-Voting to Voting Board Member and have fulfilled the necessary requirements as outlined below:
A person must serve one term as a Non-Voting Board Member before he/she can apply for a Voting Board Member position. Exceptions being that if a person is no longer on the Board and was a Voting Board member within the past 3 years, he/she may reapply to become a Voting Member.
Complete the Board Member Application and indicate on the application that you would like to move from Non-Voting to Voting position.
The AHSHA Executive Committee (EC) will screen all applicants for knowledge, experience, and competencies that fit the needs of the organization. The EC will present applicant recommendations to the AHSHA Board at the annual meeting in June for any open Non-Voting and Voting positions.
